1. Temporary Import/Export Conditions
Domestic residents departing for temporary stay abroad (tourism)
Those temporarily exporting their own or family-owned vehicles to treaty countries with the condition of re-importing to Korea
Vehicles registered under corporate or non-family names are not eligible for temporary import/export.
Family refers to the spouse of the temporary import/export applicant, direct ascendants and descendants and siblings of the applicant and spouse. However, direct ascendants, descendants and siblings of the spouse are limited to cases where they constitute and reside in the same household.
For vehicles registered under family member's name, additional documents required:
Power of attorney from registered owner, seal certificate, family relationship certificate (Korean/English)
Vehicles must be registered as passenger cars, small vans, or motorcycles on the vehicle registration certificate. Medium vans or larger vehicles are not eligible for temporary import/export. However, medium vans structurally modified for camping are eligible. (Mobile office vehicles are also allowed)
Electric vehicles, gas vehicles (LPG), and hydrogen vehicles cannot be shipped.
Hybrid vehicles can only be shipped if they meet the following conditions:
① Battery charge level (SOC: State of Charge) must be kept below 50% (recommended below 30%)
② Vehicles with accident history cannot be shipped
Camping vehicles must be explicitly designated as camping vehicles on the vehicle registration certificate.
Vehicle Registration Certificate (Korean/English notation)
Issued by local district/city hall or vehicle registration office
Must be issued with the same content as the vehicle registration certificate, and only registration certificates issued within 3 months can be processed. (Reuse not allowed)
Required documents for vehicle registration certificate issuance:
① Passport: Original
② International Driving License: Original
③ Vehicle Registration Certificate: 1 original and 1 copy each
National Identification Symbol (ROK Sticker)
Issued by vehicle registration certificate issuing office, individual production required in some areas, must be attached to at least one visible location on the rear
International License Plate
Self-produced by converting existing Korean characters to alphabets, must be attached to at least one visible location on the rear

- Temporary import/export reservation holders must prepare and submit the following documents to the staff email by 14 days before the scheduled departure date. Staff will send document samples and forms separately after reservation confirmation for your reference.
⚠ Vehicle shipping will not be possible if documents are not submitted by the announced deadline.
⚠ Original documents must be brought on the departure day, and we are not responsible for any disadvantages caused by failure to bring originals.

3. Korea Departure Procedures (Donghae-Vladivostok)
Reservation and passenger & vehicle fare payment
Submit all required documents
Document submission to Donghae Customs and local customs agency
(Handled by our company)
Receive advance guidance on local customs clearance from customs agency
(Email and KakaoTalk)
Staff meeting
Arrive at Donghae Port Duwon Shipping office at 11 AM on departure day and meet with staff (meeting time subject to change)
Remove personal belongings (passenger luggage) from vehicle and store in office
Move vehicle to customs inspection area under staff guidance
Conduct vehicle inspection in the presence of customs officer
→ Issue 'Temporary Import/Export Declaration Certificate' if no issues

4. Vladivostok Local Customs Clearance
Vehicle customs clearance in Vladivostok is handled by a customs agency. Please contact the agency directly for local customs clearance costs and insurance fees.
Customs procedures begin the day after arrival in Vladivostok, and it takes approximately 4-5 days from customs clearance completion to vehicle pickup. (Based on business days, and customs clearance may be delayed depending on circumstances.)
According to Russian customs regulations, temporary vehicle import/export clearance applies only to the vehicle itself, and personal belongings inside the vehicle are strictly prohibited. All personal items such as kitchen utensils, camping equipment, and food cannot be loaded and must be completely removed. (Flammable materials such as gas are also strictly prohibited.)
Only original tools included at the time of vehicle's initial delivery are allowed, and separately purchased tools should be brought as passenger luggage.
For camping vehicles, equipment and facilities attached during manufacturing are exceptionally allowed, and all items must be listed in the <Vehicle Attachment List and Photos>.
5. Korea Re-entry Procedures (Vladivostok-Donghae)
Before reservation, contact customs agency to confirm vehicle delivery date. Please note that vehicles must be delivered to Vladivostok terminal 1 week before departure date.
Reservation and passenger & vehicle fare payment. Please inquire at least 1 month before departure date. (Email or KakaoTalk)
No documents to submit to our company upon return → Only proceed with passenger and vehicle fare payment (billed in Korean won at Donghae headquarters same as departure, virtual account or card payment available)
Proceed with passenger immigration procedures after arriving at Donghae Port
Move to Donghae headquarters office and wait
Move to customs inspection area and proceed with vehicle return customs clearance. Required documents: Vehicle Temporary Import/Export Declaration Certificate (certificate issued by customs after vehicle inspection before departure), passport
Move to office after vehicle pickup
Depart after organizing personal luggage and belongings
6. Precautions
If the temporarily exported vehicle is processed or repaired abroad, it must go through formal import customs procedures after declaration according to Article 241 of the Customs Act.
The re-import period for temporary import/export vehicles is a maximum of 2 years from the export declaration acceptance date, and if the re-import period is violated, customs clearance must be conducted through formal import/export customs procedures.
You must file a re-import declaration with the registration office within 15 days from the date of re-importing (returning) the vehicle to Korea.
